MRI's are excellent diagnostic tools. The problem with doing MRI's with mentally ill patients is that they usually have other conditions like claustrophobia, so forget a closed MRI. Then they can't sit still for the 25 minutes it takes to do the MRI. It's a nice idea certainly, but the reality of it is completely different.
Really interesting but left me wanting more info! How are the brains of people with schizophrenia different? When do you start seeing changes? I wished the article had included a cite to the original reference.
